Mississippi Gal

Since I was about 20, I have had an obscure bucket list: Be mentioned in a song. Be thanked in the liner of a CD (I dated a lot of band members in college). Sell a painting for $1000. Drive a Porsche.
I also have had more reasonable things on the list that I have obtained: Eat at the best restaurant in the country (French Laundry, check!).  Jump out of a plane (Skydiving 27th Birthday, check!). Travel to random places (Portugal, Belize, Germany, San Miguel, check!)

Ladies and Gentlemen, I have the honor of something I never even thought would happen. I have jewelry named in my honor. I feel like a rockstar.
If you follow my blog at all, you know my fabulous friend, Amy Bell, and her awesome jewelry. I rock out my Green Lantern Ring, Superstar Necklace and Feathers all the time!  I know some of you that even own some of her genius pieces!
Check out the Mississippi Gal earrings..

But also check out more of her etsy store, Dimestore Diamonds.. She is creating some of the coolest and thoughtful pieces. AND! If you have vintage or just old pieces you don't wear anymore, she can create fabulous works of art out of them.

Things I Consider

Obviously I look at lotsandlots of images of gorgeous and inspiring spaces on a daily basis since it is my job/ passion/ reason for living. I catalog tons of them.. so much I think my computer will explode one day (YAY, External Hard drive!). I wish I could get into Pintrest more.. but going through my files on my desktop (and seeing them as my revolving screensaver) make me so happy.
Some spaces are unfathomable, but these are the completely random things I am considering these days:

Spraying my dining chairs gold.
I lovelovelove these little gems in the background.
I will make it through {phase 1} of the living room and re-evalutate. Mine would look pretty badass if I did this.

Going Lighter on the walls and darker in the shelves.
I know I don't want to do it with the color I have...
But I love this contrast.

Lucite.
Lucite makes me happy.
I love traditional shapes in this mod material.
I may or may not have spotted some side tables recently.. I just can't tell anyone where they are until I decide if they need to come live with me.

I would love to glass front cabinet my butler's pantry. Glass because I love to see my collection, but I can't explain to you the bitch it is to dust 12 different sets of glasses.
This just looks consistant and classic.

After wrapping up the filming of The Help last summer,
I scored original drawings from the costume designer.
They are gorgeous and fabulous and I will never give them away.
I will one day have them framed in a daughter's room,
but for now, I am hearing them call my name somewhere else in the house!

Do you constantly have these thoughts and projects running through your head? Do you drool over images you have found online? That is what the blog- world is all about, right?

Talulah

I bit the bullet.
I just ordered my new sofa.
Her name is Talulah.

This...

but in TEAL.
Are you afraid? Hmmm. You might should be, but I am not.

There will be 2 phases of the living room transformation.
It. Will. Be. A. Mazing.

Driftwood

This has always been one of my favorite images... A table setting with a peacock, crystal, driftwood and lush white flowers... what more can you ask for?  Of course, the fact that my wedding dress designer, Monique Lluillier, styled it helps too.

What would you serve to go with that table setting??

Why am I posting this today? I have found my first step in recreating it...

I think my dining table would collapse, but it is gorgeous!
My Dad and I spent yesterday afternoon driving through Refuge {My Happy Place}, checking out deer stands and flood damage. Since the entire place was under the Mississippi River for a few weeks, you've gotta wonder where this little gem came from.

I'm not normally so rustic, but I Love the possibilies of driftwood...

Love/ Hate Relationship

I have completely fallen head over heels with a sofa. It is seriously the most comfortable sofa I have ever sat on in my life.
The problem? I hate the way it looks. It has everything I DON'T want in a sofa: a skirt, loose full back pillows, rolled arms, neutral color.
But I can't stop thinking about it and am truthfully not getting any work done.

See.
But it is deep and cushy
and I look a little like Edith Ann when I sit in it.
That makes me happy.

Uggggggg.

My computer is NOT acting appropriately and will not let me load photos to blogspot. I'm not ignoring my baby- blog... The computer and I are having a talking- to, and we will hopefully see a new attitude soon.

Eggs, milk, bread....pillows?

A few months ago, my friend Swayze showed off two sets of awesome pillows she had found at, no lie, our neighborhood grocery store. Of course, she failed to tell me this while they still had any in stock, but I forgave her and just lived with the jealousy.
Until this week.
I am in the midst of a grocery store boycott. No big deal; just sick of grocery shopping. I need an assistant and a fatter wallet. I do ignore the boycott for Grocery Store Fried Chicken (not to be confused with Gas Station Fried Chicken.. but thats a whole other story.) While in line with my 3 piece and Diet Coke, I look over and see them...

Teal and White chevron stripes.
2 for $9.
Not kidding.

Love. I might even start grocery shopping again.

Case of the Wants: End Table

I am cracking out over this awesome end table that I am thisclose to putting in a very neutral space. Love it. I am also thinking of ordering the red one for myself. New version of the garden stool, perhaps?

Birthday Patio

While few things are "finished" around the Seabergh house, I am definately happy with the progress of my birthday patio!

My new happy place. I thought I wanted the chairs more of a turquoise color, but I love the Blue Ocean Breeze by Krylon. My dad bought me the 4 rose bushes, and my sweet sister in law sent her potted plants to me before she moved to Oregon. Luckily that pot was painted the perfect shade. "Our" bench also has found a happy home there too..
You should totally come over for cocktails.

FRIDAY!

I am bound and determined to have a fabulous day..
so much so that I bought this from iTunes at 6am...
and then went riding around before work.

Best. Band. Ever.
I loved them so much circa 1996
that I bet my mother can still sing along.

What Happened to my Week???

Oh No! How did it become Thursday??? This week has floooooown by with out me even realizing it! This is what my Tuesday off looked like...

Article due and turned in on time to Mississippi Magazine!

That dog is a hot mess. Lord, I love him!

These are the two things that are making my days better....

Maybe with a splash of bourbon?
In Russian Roulette. Might take the place of Love That Red?

Sometimes you cant make a bed better than this...

I have a love/ hate relationship with Pottery Barn.
It's kind of like WalMart.
